Progress to date
Key progress over the past year has been:
- Completion of Briefing Papers for
each subject area, and collection of best practice case
studies by two journalists
- Development of a questionnaire, and collection of pilot year
data with six participating supermarkets
- Development of external survey instruments, including supplier
survey
- Funding from Esmée Fairbairn
Foundation, and recent approval of 3 years co-funding from DEFRA
- Governance—success of Advisory
Group (six meetings), three workshops with supermarkets, plus
one-to-one meetings. Building trust.
- Twenty-three organisations
are now signed on to RTTT along with six
supermarkets
- Project website launched
- Face-to-face meetings with individual participating supermarkets
to provide feedback on the pilot year results and suggestions
for improvements
- Briefing papers revised/updated and retailer questionnaire updated taking into account retailers’ comments
- Monitoring and evaluation processes put in place
- Second year

- Development of supermarket profiles and draft report

- Project review, in partnership with entire project alliance. Planning reviewed for 2004.
